Be Sure Your Vote Is Counted at Convention

Did you know there are nearly 20,000 people throughout the state of
Michigan who are eligible to vote at the MDP Convention?

So, who can vote?

  • MDP Members can vote for Chair at Cobo Hall on Convention Day
  • Democratic Elected Officials who are not MDP members, may become MDP
members on Convention day, then they may vote at the Convention
  • Democratic Precinct Delegates who are not MDP members, may become
MDP members on Convention day, then they may vote at the Convention

So, how do I get my credentials?

  • Registration is 8:00 am - 3 :00 pm in the Michigan Hall on the River Level of Cobo Center.

So, what should I bring?

  • Bring a photo ID, your MDP card and payment for dues to avoid problems with receiving your credentials to be seated as a delegate. In the past no ID or MDP card have been necessary if you were 'known' by MDP staff. This convention the rules will be strictly enforced.
